Hot Dot's Taco Soup

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 can tomato sauce
1 package dry Taco seasoning mix
2 package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing dry mix
1 cup water
2 (14 oz) cans Mexican recipe chopped tomatoes
1 (14 oz) can light red kidney beans
1 (14 oz) can dark red kidney beans
1 (14 oz) can black beans
1 can (or 17 oz frozen package) white shoepeg corn
 
Brown beef and drain.  Sauté onion with beef until clear.  Add vegetables (do not drain any of the canned vegetables).  Mix all remaining ingredients in with vegetables and beef in large pot.  Allow to simmer at least one hour.  Serve with cornbread, crackers or tortilla corn chips.  Top with grated cheese if desired.
